Highlights: Island Hrisey ● Meeting local food producers ● The fresh tast of the north
Here we will enjoy the first half of full Local Food and Gourmet tour. We will focus on the seaside and materials from sea as well as the first micro brewery in Iceland.
Join an exclusive gourmet tasting tour and discover the very best of local North Icelandic production. During our trail to destinations through the Akureyri coastline we will meet enthusiastic local food producers. Like fishermen and brewers where they will share their gastronomic knowledge with you and we can taste the products.
We sail to the island of Hrísey and on the way collect blue-mussels that will later be our lunch and during the tour we sample as we go mouth-watering local treats sourced especially for us and additionally, depending on season, we will be involved in collecting the raw materials.
All the producers we visit are small family firms and by some the knowledge has travelled from generation to generation to generation and they will offer us to taste for example blue mussel, beer and cod.
This tour is a great experience for every person as for company groups, meetings or conferences.
